WAMS - London (Women Against MS)
WAMS - London (Women Against MS) is a Support Group of the MS Soc., specifically for women. Many women that have MS struggle with all the different hats we wear ... Mother, Wife, Daughter, Carer and Caree. Our WAMS support network launched at Hampton Court Palace in Jan 2013. We are gradually growing and supplying caring & sharing groups scattered around London and surrounding areas. Gals can come along to our 'Meeting Sisters' informal coffee n chat meet ups or just phone up for a chat to another MS gal. We are of varying ages and disability but the one thing we all have to cope with is being a woman with MS and the trials n tribulations that brings to our lives. Women are traditionally the carers and in our instance sometimes become the caree. This is often difficult to cope with for our families and ourselves. WAMS is there to lend a listening ear and try to help thro' sharing experiences of life - life with MS..
We can be contacted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 8542 1712 and 07848 105 191.
We are on Face book and Twitter - take a look or call to see what we are doing on Sun Feb 16th and Sat 8th March (International Womens Day).
We are looking for stories as part of our ‘Marvelous Mums’ Campaign.
We are putting a book of stories together about inspirational women that are living with or have lived with MS. All funds raised from book purchases will go to the WAMS support group (Women Affected by MS).
If you have a story about a Marvelous Mum or know anyone that might, please email this to me at or to our
