Outreach and awareness
The Shane Project carries its awareness campaign to schools and colleges.
It is evident that MS can strike at an early age including the teenage years.
Early intervention and support might make all the difference to a young person diagnosed with MS or caring for a relative with MS.
We deliver a regular School/College outreach programme to:
Educate young people about MS & encourage them to become the ‘voices’ of those living with MS in their various establishments.
Identify young people with MS or caring for a family member with MS so as to provide them with support.
Schools/Colleges Outreach Programme
The Shane Project’s School/College Outreach Programme creates an opportunity for young people affected by or living with MS to be identified and provided with the necessary support whilst also raising awareness about the condition.
Nightingale Academy won £3,000 for The Shane Project!
We worked in partnership with the Nightingale Academy again this year and we would like to thank the students at Nightingale Academy for entering and winning a competition run by the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) thereby successfully securing £3,000 for The Shane Project Charity from their fund! Congratulations to them for coming first among 7 other competitors.
We would like to extend a sincere thanks to the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI). This money will go towards providing our members with outdoor activities, reflexology and physiotherapy sessions.
